Halloween house makeover

When we have a halloween party we want everything in our home decorated but not everything we can take down or replace for one week of oct. So The everyday photos and painting you have on your walls can be transformed with one simple thing. Stickers! My sister has tons of country side photos on her walls to match her decor but thats not halloween at all. We bought witch and trick-or-treaters stickers and added then to her photos. Instant redo halloween style.

witches brooms

Another simple and easy treat for the kids is witches brooms. All you need is pretzel sticks and mini reese peanut butter cups.
All you have to do is put the pretzels in the cups :)

Candy Sushi

So every Halloween I make sushi candy for our annual halloween party. It tastes amazing and is gone in like 30 sec. I think everyone should make this easy candy sushi for there halloween party this year.
1) make or buy rice krispy treats. I find it easier to buy but then again im not an amazing rice krispy treat maker like some.
2) you will need fruit roll ups. you can buy whatever color but I always look for blues and greens to make it more like real sushi.
3) buy gummy worms and or swedish fish
if you make a whole bunch at one time it is easier.

Oct Birchbox!

So exciting I got my Oct Birchbox in the mail yesterday and these are the fun things that came.
The luna bar was awesome, the eye shadow is my fav gold shimmer shade and my sister loves juicy so christmas stocking here you come!

clines again

I once wrote about clines ( a junkyard / antique place) Well kevin cousin was in town and she wanted to go so we took the hike up to clines on this brisk saterday fall morning. This is what we found....

not a real cat by the way

creepy!

fall treats

Meg came up with the cutest treat to bring to a party ever. They are acorn donut holes. You get brown donut holes and dip the top half in choc or nutella. Then you put brown sprinkles over the choc and stick a pretzel on top!

trick or treat pumpkinds

My sister megan and I are beyond excited for halloween and want to make new thing every year so our halloween parties are something to remember not the same old thing every year. so we amp up the old decor and make new. This time we took old target dollar section pumpkins and made them look new.
we spray painted them silver

megan painted trick on one, or on the second, and treat on the thrid. it is hard to see from the pic

maps!

I found this amazing old school map at a antique store and finally got kevin to hang it up for me. Its an awesome pull down kind you would find in elementary school. Only $30.00!

treat holders from target

So I love the plastic plates and cups from target. Every month it seems like the come out with an even cooler design. You can't always buy new plates every month so I found something new to do with them.
perfect for cupcake holders

All you do is use sealant on bottom of cup to plate and let dry!

snow globe baby style

If you have a baby you know you have about 10000 glass baby jars laying around looking for a home. Well I made baby snow globes out of two I had laying around. You just need a small toy( quarter machine toys work best). glue the toy in middle of lid with super glue. Then add a little glitter and water into glass part of jar. Then use a heave duty sealant around lid before closing. You do not want this sucker to open up on you.
