Rock Garden

We have been having an issue with our dog running out the back door and peeing right off the deck. It has killed all the grass in that area and is unsightly. So my sister and I drew up a plan for a rock garden. If the dog goes that bathroom on the rocks it will just go threw and its ok if it kills the grass. I have always wanted at rain chain as well so we put a water feature in as well.

Noahs 1st birthday

The friend I made the photo book for had a really cute birthday party set up for her son. His name is Noah so it was a Noahs ark theme. Wicked cute cupcake (sorry no pic) and she made a really cute ball pit for the kids. Super cute for a baby shower if kids are invited or small children's birthdays.

She painted thick paper and paper plates to make the animals.

ABC BOOK

One of my sons closest friends just turned one and I wanted this birthday present to be amazing because his mother and whole family is crafty and awesomely inventive people. I was making an ABC book for owen and thought what a prefect 1st birthday gift. I made a kodak photo book but took pictures of the child from facebook or pic I took and used them for the letter word. Such as N is for NAP- then I would take a picture of the child while they are sleeping and us it. It was a lot of work getting the pictures together if the gift is not for your own child but it was well worth it. It is easier for the child if they see themselves or a  family members in a learning book. I recommend it for everyone that has a young child who they are close to in their life.

It was a present to I just used a picture of her son and mine so she would remember who gave it to him. I also used that same picture for friends.

Sailing Flags

I made these for Owens party but I'm going to use them also in his nautical room.

I cut the designs out of felt and used a hot glue gun to put them together

Then I used my sewing machine to attach them to a red ribbon for hanging

Presents reborn

I always look in Ikeas scratch and dent for fun things i can fix or use for other things. I found this platter my mom will love but it was a display model. I wanted to spice it up for my hubby made a stencil with vinyl and spray painted my parents last name on it. that way they can serve food with it or hang it on the wall.

Re do the T-shirt

My hubby goes threw t-shirts like its his job. So when he gets new ones he always gives me the old ones to do as I please. Threw pinterest I have found many ideas and things to do this is todays project. Only took me 2 T-shirts before I got it right.

Target Bird Feeder

This is a cute little bird feeder idea using simple items you can find at target.

Tea Light Mason Jars

Another thing we did for the party was mason jar tea lights. My sister brought over mason jars, anchor tissue paper, and flameless tea lights. You can buy the lights at the dollar store or ac moore. People use them in fake pumpkins at halloween time. You put the tea light in the bottom and put in tissue paper. make sure its not to much paper or it will block the light. Its a cute accent piece on a deck or patio.Would be great for a dinner party.

Cake smashing time

My son had his first birthday and we threw a LARGE party. Owen didn't like when everyone was singing so he didn't really get into smashing the cake. The next day when we was in a better mood. I took a plastic table cloth and taped it up in the backroom. I used it as a backdrop and the bathroom floor is easiest to clean up. He loved ripping that cake apart! My husband got a hold of the pic and worked some graphic design skills on the pic. Turned out really funny.

I have a rain chain I just put on the back of my house. It runs into a planter full of rocks. I was looking to plain Jane so I took so of the painted shells from owens birthday and put them in among the rocks for some shine.

Shoe Re-do

We all wear out our shoes and get sick of them. Well here is a great way to spice them up and make them look sexy again.

Tomato mozzarella bites

My garden has gone crazy with basil and cherry tomato's so I thought what a great time to use them up. Plus what I made had to be finger food so this is what I came up with.

cut the tom in half. out little mozz cheese cube in side and basil leaf on top. stick threw all with tooth pick.TA DA!

Owens cake

My sister makes cake for a living and she out did herself with Owens of course. She made the lobster cake for his smashing cake and the sea cake for every one to eat.There was not a piece left that is how good it was.

Angry Birds Game

For the party I wanted to have something for every age. We had kids coming in all ages. I Collected tons of boxes from work, all shapes and sizes. Bought a green ball and red ball for walmart and Kevin painted the angry birds face on them. It was the easiest game I have ever made for kids and they loved it!

Fish tank jello

This is great for kids. You crust up cram crackers and make a small layer on the bottom. The you add blue jello. We used the quick method that is on the back of the box. I think you just add ice cubes to make it congeal quickly. Then you pour it in. If it is semi congealed you stick in a swedish fish.

Life size photo frame

For owens party I wanted thing all ages could do. So I got the idea of a photo booth setup. Kevin took plywood and cut out a large frame and we painted it bright green and we put it in the yard.People could stand behind it and take pic. To the side we set up a prop table with hat's glasses and fun things for dress up. Everyone loved it.
