When I love and item of clothing I really love it. So when I grow out of a shirt or dress but still love the fabric I put it in a rubber made container. Well the container was over flowing and I thought I might have to make something with these soon. I saw fabric design balls on a design show one night and a light went off in my head. So I went to work cutting all my fabric into small strips.Then hot gluing them on small styrofoam balls. I did this for days and after filling a bunch of wooden bowls in my house I thought what else can I do with these I have like 50! So I took a wire hanger and poked it threw them all and made a wreath.
